The Secure mobile desktop powered by 3G

We have worked with Datamotion Ltd over the past 4 years to provide the Branding and Website solutions as the product and client base has grown and evolved.

Heavily involved in the development of the product, the Brand and promotional material have evolved as the product has been built for its market.

Working closely with the Datamotion team to build the brand, we have provided a number of website solutions, marketing material, stationery, and device decals.

Powered by the latest 3G wireless broadband, AIRBOOK is designed to give enterprises the confidence they seek to universally deploy secure mobile working.
Datamotion approached Sprout Designs in July 2007 to take on the Branding, and website for the new Airbook suite of products. A process that has evolved with the design of the revolutionary product, and a design and identity that is individual.

Sprout Designs are a pleasure to work with. They have carefully understood our marketing needs, produced refreshingly good designs with accuracy, always on time and within budget. We simply couldn’t ask for more and look forward to awarding our next project to Sprout Designs”

Sprout Designs was approached to pitch for the Creative Junction Slough Identity Design.
The process of Design involved a session of research and development with the team. Working as a group/team to develop creative visual connections, the following group activities brought everyone to consider lots of visual connections.

Thought Factory
piece of paper roll full length of blue room – all brainstorm the word JUNCTION and its associated words, meanings, phrases etc – and link up/map to the brainstorming of the people person either side – to get one long ‘factory’ of thought

Internet Research
Individually/in pairs google/wiki/search for words, phrases, meanings, pictures – anything linking to JUNCTION – add your findings to the Thought Factory

Visual Junctions
individually/in pairs explore the rooms, building & west wing outside to capture where you see JUNCTIONS (joins etc) using cameras or sketches – create junctions or related ‘sculptures’ using play doh, pipe cleaners, collage – and capture on camera
If it were a?: individually/in pairs discuss: If Creative Junction were an animal, what animal would it be? What food? What holiday? What car? What item of clothing? What piece of furniture? What colour? etc etc etc

Junction Poem
using poetry template create your own Junction related poem
the brand will continue to be playful and develop and grow with us
Individually a number of designers went away to develop concepts to then pitch to the Creative Junction Team

A very fluid design, we responded to feedback from the Creative Junction Team, the original design grew and developed to explore the Junction based visual identity seen.

“Thank you for your vision and respond-ability! The best thing about it is that it’s a simple, conceptual and adaptable idea which we can play with in-house.”

Slough Borough Council

Art & People is a guide to setting up and running arts projects in the community and includes advice on planning, fundraising, project management, publicity and evaluation. The pack was first published in 1997 and after selling out was redesigned in a second edition which was published in 2003. Some of the information in the second edition is now out of date and with the progression of technology and trends in community arts, some additional sections need to be added. As plans are in discussion for an extensive roll out of CATS, the Community Arts Training Scheme, which the course supports, Art & People needs to be up to date and accurate.

Aims

To provide artists and community groups with advice on how to manage arts projects.

To support groups running arts projects in Slough. Target audience Artists, teachers, community groups and individuals, other arts officers.

Working through visually from the idea of the interaction of people and artforms, a number of alternative ideas were considered.

The final idea looked to broad bold brushstrokes, and handmade marks to illustrate the interaction with the print, and to encourage people to use it as a workbook, and celebrate it as piece of print.

Each section in the publication took a different colour scheme from the SBC Branding guidelines and matched the wealth of photography that the Arts Development team have from the variety of projects. The abstract paint stroke shapes were used to frame the photography and tie in the theme.

“With Art & People we wanted to create something that would fit with our existing print material and Sprout Designs were able to meet our needs, providing a way for us to share a huge amount of information in a clear, accessible and friendly way and at the same time promote the vibrant arts community in Slough through strong images. It was important that the publication spoke to a variety of audiences and Sprout Designs were able to understand and interpret our ideas to achieve this. We’re a team of perfectionists and Sprout Designs showed a huge amount of patience and flexibility as we worked through ideas to get a publication we are very happy with.”

Sprout Designs was approached to create a publication document to celebrate the work undertaken by Creative Partnerships Thames Valley in their 2007/2008 programme. The publication looks at the programme through the lens of The Creativity Wheel, a framework for assessing creativity developed by Creative Partnerships Durham Sunderland.

The Swatch Book visualised the creativity that was developed during the work of 2007/2008.

Swatch Book samples a selection of projects through a variety of material including photography, quotations and young people’s work, as evidence of the impact of creative learning for young people, teachers and creative partners.

This was a visually interesting project, we worked closely with the Creative Partnerships team to produce an exciting piece of print that took the shape and feel of a swatch book. Bound by a opening ring, and die cut in the shape of a tag, each page can be used as a resource, inspiring quote individually or as part of a set.

Read more about the Swatch book, and download a PDF of the publication from the Creative Junction Website

With a new range of services now being offered to his clients, Kevin Young was looking to rebrand to publicise his growing services of Braywick Health.

Sprout Designs worked with Braywick Health to produce a new Identity that would convey the variety of services offered from Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Sports Therapy while not specifically confining to just these areas. Building upon previous Branding, and taking in to consideration current clients the Braywick Health Identity was produced to convey movement and fitness.

A promotional Brochure was produced in conjunction with the Identity explaining the variety of services and treatments available.
